Hi, I’m Sheri, the maker, dreamer, and gemstone enthusiast behind Joyful Gems Handmade Jewellery, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
It all began with a deep love for semi-precious gemstones. I was always drawn to their natural beauty and powerful energy — tucking them into my pockets, learning their stories, and feeling the comfort and clarity they offered. Over time, that quiet passion grew into something more: a creative outlet that filled my soul and sparked true joy.
In 2022, I officially launched Joyful Gems from my home workshop, blending my love for gemstones with the timeless art of macrame. Every piece I create is a fusion of earth’s natural treasures and meaningful design — wearable reminders to stay grounded, open-hearted, and aligned with your inner self.

Why “Joyful”?

The name Joyful Gems is a tribute to my best friend, Cindra, whose spirit continues to inspire me every day. She once told me, “I can see a rainbow of joy bursting out of your belly button!” That image has always stayed with me — vibrant, silly, and full of life —  just like her. And it perfectly captures how I feel when I’m creating. This business is a celebration of that joy.
